Una Esperienze Milano CityLife will open in September 2027 as part of the ongoing regeneration of Milan’s former trade fair district. Fondazione Fiera Milano is developing the project with a total investment of €66 million. Una Italian Hospitality will operate the hotel under a long-term lease agreement.

Located on Via Scarampo in the Portello area, the property will stand close to Allianz MiCo, one of Milan’s main conference and exhibition venues. Therefore, the hotel will target business travellers, event participants and tourists visiting the city. The project also aims to capture demand generated by Milan’s growing international events and conventions.

The hotel will occupy a 90-metre tower designed by architecture firm AMDL Circle, led by architect Michele De Lucchi. The building will extend across 22 floors and offer 173 rooms. In addition, the upper section will feature a restaurant, sky lounge and panoramic viewpoint between the 18th and 21st floors.

Furthermore, the tower’s stepped design will create a series of terraces across the upper levels. These outdoor spaces will cover more than 350 sqm and offer views over the Milan skyline, CityLife park and the north-western part of the city.

Construction involves a consortium led by Nessi & Majocchi as general contractor, together with Gualini, Zaffaroni and Gianni Benvenuto. Work should reach completion by January 2027, ahead of the hotel’s planned opening in September.

The original schedule aimed to welcome guests ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics. However, the project now forms part of a broader strategy to expand hospitality capacity around Allianz MiCo and the wider CityLife district.

Meanwhile, the arrival of Rai’s new production centre in 2029 will further strengthen the area’s role as a business and employment hub. Una Esperienze Milano CityLife will therefore add a new hospitality component to one of Milan’s most rapidly transforming urban areas.
