Savhotel Mantegna Marks the Brand’s Official Debut in Padua

The Savhotel Mantegna Padua officially opens its doors following a €26 million investment that combined acquisition costs and a comprehensive renovation program. As a result, the property strengthens Savhotel’s presence in Northern Italy and marks the brand’s first hotel in Padua. The project involved the former NH Hotel Mantegna, which Savim Group acquired from Mediolanum Real Estate in 2025.

Located near Padova Congress, the exhibition center, and the university district, the hotel offers 190 rooms and suites. In addition, it features eight modular meeting rooms that can host up to 400 attendees. The renovation upgraded the electrical, fire safety, and plumbing systems. Furthermore, the property now benefits from advanced building automation and smart room technologies that improve operational efficiency and guest comfort.

The Savhotel Mantegna Padua also introduces several new guest experiences. For example, the fitness center now occupies the thirteenth floor and provides panoramic city views through large windows. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy private events and aperitifs on the rooftop terrace. On the twelfth floor, the Parnaso panoramic restaurant serves a seasonal menu inspired by Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary approach. Architect Nathalie Rottenburg led the redesign of the hotel’s interiors and public spaces.

According to Savim founder Renzo Savasta, Padua offers strong opportunities in both the business and leisure segments. The city benefits from a major university, a leading hospital, and a growing congress industry. Moreover, tourism officials highlight Padua’s rising profile within the international meetings market. Current ICCA rankings place the destination among Italy’s top congress cities. Consequently, the Savhotel Mantegna Padua enters a market with solid demand fundamentals and significant long-term growth potential.
