Cx Living Launches Its First Hybrid Hospitality Project In Rome

Cx Rome San Pietro marks Cx Living’s first venture into hybrid hospitality. It also represents a major milestone in the company’s growth strategy. The property will open by the end of 2026 in Via del Crocifisso, just a short walk from the Vatican. Mario Cucinella Architects designed the project, while Techbau is developing it. Together, they have created a destination that combines lifestyle hospitality, extended-stay accommodation and community-oriented services.

Unlike the company’s traditional student housing model, the new property targets a much broader audience. Alongside international students, Cx Rome San Pietro will welcome business travellers, digital nomads, expatriates, remote workers and young professionals. Consequently, the development reflects changing travel patterns and growing demand for flexible accommodation.

The property will offer 294 keys, including 110 rooms for short stays and 184 units for long-term accommodation. Guests will also enjoy a rooftop terrace, wellness and fitness facilities, lounge areas and soft coworking spaces. In addition, the project includes venues for events and cultural activities. Altogether, the development covers approximately 12,000 square metres. More than 8,400 square metres will accommodate hospitality functions and shared amenities. These features create an integrated environment that encourages social interaction and extended stays.

The launch of Cx Rome San Pietro marks the first concrete step in the company’s new hospitality platform. Earlier in 2026, Cx Living introduced four complementary brands to expand beyond student accommodation. These include Cx Hotel & Living, Cx Flexible Living and Cx Senior Living. Today, the company operates 25 properties, including 13 in Italy, with around 14,000 beds. It aims to exceed 15,000 beds by 2028 while continuing to expand into new hospitality segments. This strategy positions Cx Living to meet growing demand for hybrid living concepts and strengthens its role as one of Italy’s most innovative accommodation platforms.
