Elizabeth Unique Brings New Luxury Hospitality to Venice

Elizabeth Unique Venice will open in June and strengthen the city’s growing luxury hospitality market. The new five-star hotel rises inside a restored 17th-century noble palace in Cannaregio. Moreover, the property joins Design Hotels and expands the portfolio of the Italian Elizabeth Group, which already operates hotels and apartments in Rome, Bologna, and Venice.

The boutique hotel offers 14 rooms and suites, together with a gourmet restaurant and a contemporary art gallery. The group created the gallery in partnership with Rome’s Russo Gallery, adding a strong cultural identity to the project. At the same time, architect Cristina Celestino designed interiors that blend Venetian heritage with modern aesthetics. As a result, guests can experience a refined atmosphere that balances history and innovation.

According to founder Vittorio Curatella, the opening reflects the company’s wider strategy of developing properties with distinctive personalities. Therefore, Elizabeth Unique Venice represents more than a single hotel launch. Instead, it continues the brand’s vision of combining hospitality, art, and lifestyle experiences in iconic Italian destinations.

Meanwhile, Venice continues to attract luxury investment and international attention. The city currently hosts 29 five-star hotels with almost 2,400 rooms. In addition, several high-profile openings will arrive soon, including the new Four Seasons Danieli, Murano Luxury Hotel, Palazzo Molin Erizzo, and Only You Bonvecchiati Venice. Looking ahead to 2027, Rosewood Venice and the repositioned Locanda Vivaldi will further elevate the market.

Consequently, Elizabeth Unique Venice enters a competitive but dynamic environment. Nevertheless, its intimate scale, artistic identity, and central location could help the property stand out among Venice’s luxury hotels.
