In March 2020, the sale of the former Teatro Comunale of Florence was finalised. The theatre is located in Corso Italia, it was sold by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, through its subsidiary Cdp Investimenti Sgr, to the JV between Hines and Blue Noble, for a total amount of 27 million euros. The complex had therefore become part of the «Future Living» fund managed by Savills Investment Management, of which Hines and Blue Noble LLP are investors.
The two international investors have just confirmed the finalisation of the management agreement with Starhotels for a large section of the complex dedicated to serviced apartments. Starhotels will manage approx. 150 apartments born from the recovery of the former Teatro Comunale of Florence, proposing solutions for the short-medium term. According to the initial project, the complex should provide for the construction of 230 apartments, of which 110 are studios and the rest are one and two-room apartments. Surfaces for retail and offices are also planned, as part of a real estate complex that totals approx. 15,300 sqm.
