The San Francesco Country Resort enters a new phase as Icon Collection upgrades its Tuscan property in Rosignano Marittimo. The group is transforming the former Antico Podere San Francesco from a residence agriturismo into a full resort. Therefore, the project reflects a broader strategy focused on higher positioning and stronger appeal to international guests.

The first stage of works will finish between late May and mid-June. It adds seven new suite apartments and five rooms. Each unit includes a private garden, while some also feature jacuzzis. As a result, the resort expands both capacity and premium accommodation options. At the same time, the rebranding introduces the new name San Francesco Country Resort, which better supports its upgraded market identity.

Management says the development idea dates back many years. However, long administrative procedures delayed execution. The first expansion phase ended in 2019, and since then the company has pursued a clear repositioning plan. Consequently, Icon Collection aligned pricing, services, and guest experience with upscale demand trends.

The resort now introduces several new amenities designed to extend the season. Guests can enjoy a heated pool at 28 degrees even in lower-demand months. In addition, the property adds a redesigned lobby with Tuscan character and a new bar. Services such as poolside breakfast and VIP programs have already received positive feedback. These upgrades help attract travelers outside the summer peak.

Further investment will continue through 2028. The next phases include more suite apartments and enhanced leisure facilities. Plans also feature a spa-style heated pool with dedicated relaxation areas for couples and families. Therefore, the property aims to become a year-round destination rather than a seasonal stay.

A new restaurant will complete the transformation. The concept will focus on local products and rural Tuscan traditions. In addition, two spa suites, a treatment area, and a gym will broaden the wellness offer. These elements should strengthen guest spending opportunities and overall length of stay.
