Düsseldorf-Based Hospitality Powerhouse Bolsters Presence in the Luxury Hotel Sector
In a strategic move that signifies growth and expansion, the Lindner Hotel Group (LHG), headquartered in Düsseldorf, has recently announced the acquisition of management rights for five distinguished hotels, encompassing over 1,000 rooms from the 12.18 Group. This merger is a pivotal step in LHG’s journey, enhancing its already robust portfolio under the renowned “Lindner Hotels & Resorts” and “me and all hotels” brands.
A New Chapter with Hyatt: Enhancing Global Reach
The partnership between LHG and Hyatt, forged in 2022, marked a new era of collaboration. Through an exclusive agreement, “Lindner Hotels & Resorts” and “me and all hotels” joined the illustrious “JdV by Hyatt” collection. This alliance with Hyatt not only elevates the brand’s visibility but also underscores its commitment to providing unique hospitality experiences.
Expanding Horizons with the 12.18 Merger
The merger introduces two new brands to LHG’s repertoire: 7Pines Hotels & Resorts and L-Collection, further solidifying its role as a key player in the hotel management and leasing sector. With this expansion, LHG now operates 35 hotels across eight European nations, including Italy and the United Kingdom, and extends its reach to the United States. Additionally, plans are underway to develop six more properties, indicating a promising growth trajectory.
12.18 Group: Pivoting to Real Estate Ventures
Post-merger, the 12.18 Group is set to concentrate on its real estate endeavors, focusing on the acquisition, development, and repositioning of hotel properties. This strategic shift aims to fortify its asset management offerings to capital partners, leveraging its industry expertise. Thanks to this strategic acquisition, LHG is poised to witness a significant turnover increase, with projections reaching approximately 330 million Euros for 2024, marking a 90 million Euro enhancement. This financial upsurge underscores the merger’s strategic value and its impact on LHG’s market positioning.
