KKR closes the second European real estate fund collecting USD 2.2 billion

KKR recently closed the funding round for its second European real estate fund, Real Estate Partners Europe II, collecting USD 2.2bn.

The fund focuses on value-added and opportunistic real estate investments in Western Europe in sectors such as logistics, residential, student housing, hospitality and offices.

REPE II has been underwritten by new and existing investors globally, including public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and insurance companies.

REPE II is the successor fund to Real Estate Partners Europe I (REPE I), the company’s first dedicated European real estate fund, which closed in June 2016 with USD 739 million in commitments.

As of June 30, 2021, REPE II had already invested over USD 700 million in logistics and residential assets in the fund’s target area.
