Fattal PPHE Acquisition Reshapes European Hotel Market

Fattal PPHE acquisition could reshape the European hospitality landscape following a non-binding offer from the Israeli hotel group. Fattal proposed £22 per share to acquire 100% of PPHE Hotel Group, valuing the company at approximately £930 million. Moreover, the offer arrives only months after PPHE announced that it was exploring options with potential investors. The board has already responded positively to the proposal and plans to consult shareholders. As a result, the transaction may become one of the most significant hospitality deals in Europe this year.

PPHE currently operates a portfolio of 51 hotels and around 9,600 rooms across eight European countries. In addition, the company entered the Italian market earlier this year through the opening of art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio. The property features 88 guestrooms and eleven suites in a prime location near the historic center of Rome. Furthermore, guests can access a restaurant, bar, fitness facilities, sauna, and exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art. The hotel also showcases the largest permanent collection of works by Roman artist Pietro Ruffo, reinforcing the brand’s creative identity.

The potential Fattal PPHE acquisition reflects the growing interest in lifestyle and upscale hospitality assets across Europe. PPHE already maintains a long-standing partnership with Radisson and operates several brands, including Park Plaza and art’otel. Additionally, the company owns a real estate portfolio valued at approximately £2.2 billion. This portfolio includes hotels, resorts, apartments, and campsites in key European destinations. Meanwhile, Fattal continues to strengthen its presence in Italy through Leonardo Hotels, Nyx Hotels, and other brands. The group currently operates nine properties across Veneto, Lombardy, and Lazio, totaling more than 1,400 rooms and apartments. Therefore, the proposed acquisition would significantly expand Fattal’s reach and reinforce its position among Europe’s leading hospitality operators.
