The Curio Collection Milan hotel The Duke will open at Milan Central Station in autumn 2027, following an €11 million investment. Grandi Stazioni Retail will finance 60% of the project, while Pacini Group will cover the remaining 40%. The latter will also manage the property under Hilton’s Curio Collection by Hilton brand.
The hotel will occupy more than 2,500 square metres within the railway station. It will feature 44 rooms, a gym and a versatile meeting room. Furthermore, the project will include a lobby, lounge and event spaces designed to encourage networking and business meetings. The development aims to combine contemporary design, functionality and accessibility.
Interior design studio Marco Piva leads the project. Its concept draws inspiration from the monumental architecture of Milan Central Station and the history of the surrounding area. In particular, the name The Duke Milan pays tribute to the Duke of Aosta, who gave his name to the square outside the station. The hotel will reinterpret this historical reference through a contemporary design approach.
Construction is progressing, and the developers expect to complete a model room in autumn 2026. This will offer an early preview of the hotel’s interiors ahead of the planned opening.
Grandi Stazioni Retail has managed and developed commercial and communication spaces across 14 major Italian railway stations since 2016. Meanwhile, Pacini Group operates several hospitality concepts, including luxury hotels, boutique properties and serviced apartments. Its portfolio also features restaurants and bars in Rome and Venice.
Hilton continues to expand its Italian presence. According to the Chain Hotels Database, the group expects to reach 51 properties and more than 8,300 rooms in Italy by the end of 2026. Moreover, its pipeline includes 16 additional openings over the following three years, representing more than 2,200 rooms. The Curio Collection Milan hotel will add another distinctive property to the city’s hospitality offering.
