The Pestana Italy expansion starts with the group’s entry into the Italian market through a landmark management acquisition in Courmayeur. First, Pestana Group took over the operations of the five-star Le Massif Courmayeur Hotel & Lodge, previously managed by Italian Hospitality Collection. Consequently, this move marks a strategic step into Italy’s high-end hospitality segment.

Moreover, the Pestana Italy expansion focuses on premium assets with strong international appeal. The property, affiliated with The Leading Hotels of the World, offers 80 rooms and suites, along with a spa, fitness area, and fine dining restaurant. In addition, the asset includes a mountain lodge connected directly to ski slopes, enhancing its positioning in the luxury alpine market.

At the same time, the agreement involves the transfer of business units for over €3 million, with completion expected after the winter season. Therefore, Pestana strengthens its operational footprint while limiting upfront investment risks. The group has already started recruiting a new general manager to lead the property under its Collection brand.

Looking ahead, the Pestana Italy expansion will not stop in Courmayeur. On one hand, the company plans further developments in Rome and Milan. On the other hand, it continues to grow its international portfolio, leveraging partnerships such as the one with Cristiano Ronaldo to strengthen brand visibility and attract global travelers.
