The Rovati family, through their investment vehicle Fidim, a holding company operating in the high-end tourism sector, has joined the Barletta Group. The transaction involves a capital injection of 95 million euros, composed of cash and trophy assets, which will allow Fidim to hold a 12.5% stake in Barletta Group’s share capital.
This operation is aimed at supporting investments in luxury tourism, bolstering the main activities of the Barletta Group and its subsidiary Arsenale. The international expansion plan includes strengthening the management of 4-star hotels and investing in the education sector for the hospitality industry.
Fidim Group’s portfolio includes the Hotel Il Salviatino, a 5-star, 44-key property located in Florence, with cuisine curated by Giacomo Milano. Giacomo Milano is also present on Lake Como with “Giacomo al Lago” at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, a 5-star hotel with 90 keys.
Arsenale is the main partner of the Orient Express trains and owns several hotels, including the two “Orient Express” properties, Grand Hotel de La Minerve and Palazzo Dona’ Giovannelli, set to open soon in Rome and Venice. Additionally, Arsenale is constructing six Dolce Vita Orient Express trains, two of which will debut next year.
