Yesterday, the auction was held for the “Marina Bolognese” colony, located on the beach of Riccione. According to rumours, the auction could have been awarded to one of the primary national operators active in the upscale segment, for 2.65 million. The auction base for the colony was initially around 18 million, gradually reduced to a base of 4 million on 24 February.
The former colony of Marina Bolognese consists of an imposing building complex on a 2-hectare courtyard and direct access to a large beach belonging to it. The group’s development project could include the construction of a 130-room luxury wellness & beach resort. With these dimensions, it would be one of the main sun & beach hotel developments in Italy in the luxury segment of the next few years. The regeneration of the former colonies is at the heart of the development plans of the administrations in many cities of the Riviera.
In conclusion, we recall the conversion plan, apparently in progress, of the Ex Marine Climatic Center of Milano Marittima (RA), one of the oldest former colonies in the city, and which, according to press sources, is in the process of conversion from a colony to a hotel in luxury.
