Biography

Paolo Barletta is a 36-year-old Italian serial entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist.
Over the past decade, he has successfully founded several companies in technology, real estate, luxury hospitality, fashion, and cinema.
Today, Paolo is the CEO of Barletta Group, Arsenale S.p.and Alchimia S.p.a.

A pioneer of change, he reshaped his corporate strategy by using new languages, entering strategic partnerships, and constantly enriching the Group’s portfolio through complementary investments, mergers, and acquisitions. Projects such as Soho House and Orient Express La Dolce Vita are the first successful results of his new strategy.

In 2013, Paolo set his sights on new entrepreneurial challenges: He invested a consistent share of equity in Chiara Ferragni Collection and shifted his interest to the world of venture capitalism.
In 2018, he founded his own investment company, Alchimia S.p.a, which today is currently recognised as one of the Italian leaders in the venture capital market, with a portfolio of 23 investments in companies operating both in Italy and abroad diversified across sectors such as healthcare, blockchain and cryptocurrency, agri-tech, aerospace, influencer marketing, edtech, transportation, and digital innovation.

In July 2019, thanks to a strong partnership based on a common vision in the venture capital sector, Alchimia opened its capital to Annabel Holding of Nicola Bulgari, who invested in the company.
In September 2020, the partnership between Paolo Barletta and Annabel Holding was strengthened by creating a new industrial project in the world of hospitality Made in Italy: Arsenale S.p.a., a company whose main objective is to enhance the Italian tourism sector by investing in real estate and managing several Italian trophies. Today, Arsenale is a significant player in the Italian market with structured agreements with the most important luxury brands such as Soho House and Orient Express.

In May 2021, Paolo created the second division of Arsenale (Arsenale Express) with the project Orient Express La Dolce Vita train, the first sustainable tourism project by rail with a luxury offer designed in partnership with the Orient Express of Accor Group Trenitalia-Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato and Fondazione FS Italiane.

In 2014, Paolo established the Myllennium Award in the name and memory of his father, Raffaele: the first and only Italian multidisciplinary award dedicated to “young talents under-30”. In the last seven editions, the Myllennium Award had more than 4000 participants and over 860.000 € of prizes awarded.

Finally, Paolo is the leading funder of Kukua, the award-winning social enterprise that fights illiteracy among children in sub-Saharan Africa.
