Michelangelo is Managing Director at Castello SGR, where he leads all hotel-related investment and asset management activities in the Italian market. His expertise covers acquisitions, development, repositioning strategies, and operator selection across a wide range of hospitality real estate segments including luxury resorts, serviced apartments, branded residences, and urban hotels.

Over the course of his career, Michelangelo has managed transactions and value-creation strategies for more than 35 hotels, representing a combined investment volume of over €1.5 billion. Notable projects include the recently re-launched Poltu Quatu Destination, which also features the W Sardinia, Le Géant Courmayeur – Apartments by Marriott, the InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace, Chia Laguna in Sardinia – Conrad and Curio by Hilton, Le Massif in Courmayeur – The Leading Hotels of the World, and the Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort in Tuscany – Autograph Collection by Marriott.

With more than 17 years of experience in real estate, Michelangelo has previously worked with leading investment management companies in Milan and London. He holds an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University.
