Chief Assets & Development Officer – Minor Hotels
Laia Lahoz is Chief Assets and Development Officer at Minor Hotels Europe & Americas. From her position, Laia leads the Company’s strategy in terms of asset management and development, reporting directly to the CEO.
Laia Lahoz holds a Degree in Law School from Pompeu Fabra University and two master’s Degrees, one in Trade Law from the Pompeu Fabra University and another in International Cooperation from the University of Barcelona. She has extensive professional experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Asset Management and Legal Affairs.
She began her career at the renowned law firm Garrigues and entered the hospitality industry in 2004 when she joined Hesperia Hotels as Head of the Legal Affairs Department.
A few years later, she became Managing Director of the Hesperia Investor Group. In 2013, following the integration of the Hesperia hotel chain into NH Hotel Group, she was appointed Senior VP of Portfolio Management, responsible for the Company’s global asset management strategy.
In June 2017, after achieving extraordinary results in her previous role, Laia was appointed as NH Hotel Group’s new Chief Assets and Development Officer, joining the Company’s Executive Committee and reporting directly to the CEO. From this position, she continues to lead the Group’s asset strategy and oversees its global expansion and development.
In June 2022, Laia was appointed Executive Director of the listed company NH Hotel Group that operates now under the name: Minor Hotels Europe & Americas.
