CEO – Sunset Hotels & Resorts

A Spanish national, Jaime Buxó Clos leads Sunset Hotels & Resorts, the hotel division of Sunset Hospitality Group (SHG), spearheading its global expansion since the division’s launch in December 2023. Under his leadership, SHG has accelerated its position as one of the fastest scaling lifestyle hospitality platforms internationally, with a footprint now spanning 27 countries worldwide and 111 venues across hotels, resorts, restaurants, beach clubs, social gaming, and wellness concepts.

Jaime’s leadership continues to drive the meteoric rise of METT Hotels & Resorts, SHG’s flagship lifestyle brand. In Spain, building on the success of METT Marbella-Estepona and METT Barcelona, the group has grown to four properties nationwide, with CASA METT Sitges opened in summer 2026, followed by METT Alicante Cala Natura in 2028, cementing Spain as a cornerstone of SHG’s Mediterranean growth strategy. In Italy, Jaime oversaw the brand’s debut with the opening of METT Milan Torre Velasca, occupying the top nine floors of the iconic Torre Velasca and setting a new benchmark for luxury lifestyle hospitality in the city. In Southeast Asia, following the successful 2025 launch of METT Singapore, Jaime led the brand’s strategic entry into Vietnam with the signing of METT Da Nang, a 104 villa beachfront resort marking METT’s second property in the region. Together, these milestones support SHG’s ambition to reach 20 hotels globally by 2027. Jaime brings 35 years of international hospitality experience to his role, having led management, marketing, distribution, and development functions at Barceló Hotel Group, Occidental Hotels, Ilunion Hotels, and Areas Hospitality across the Americas, Africa, Europe, and Asia. He joined SHG in 2021 as President for Europe and North Africa, where he strengthened growth strategies across the region. During these years, he has launched and repositioned hospitality concepts for internationally renowned brands, including SUSHISAMBA Milan, Attiko Lisbon, Sachi Milan, METT Marbella–Estepona, Yalıkavak Marina Hotel by METT Collection, METT Barcelona, a renewed historic icon, and METT Singapore at Fort Canning Park.

Jaime continues to serve as CEO of Sunset Hotels & Resorts, part of Sunset Hospitality Group, leading the brand’s international expansion and overseeing the development of a distinctive portfolio of lifestyle hotels and resorts. Under his leadership, the group continues to strengthen the global presence of METT Hotels and Resorts while creating innovative hospitality experiences and delivering exceptional guest experiences across its growing portfolio.
