A leading figure in the field of sustainable tourism both in Italy and internationally, Giorgio Caire di Lauzet is the Coordinator of the UNI/CT 040 GL22 “Tourism” working group of the Italian Standardization Body (UNI) and represents Italy within the ISO WG 228 international working group, which defines global standards for sustainable tourism.
He is the Founder & CEO of Dream&Charme, one of the main Certification Bodies accredited by Accredia under ISO 17065. Present in 19 countries, Dream&Charme is the Italian leader in ESG Certification for the hospitality sector.
With over twenty years of experience in the high-end hospitality industry, he teaches in Milan at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, within the EMLUX Master program, and at Istituto Marangoni. He has also been a guest speaker in the MIMEC Master’s program at Bocconi University on new models of tourism marketing.
He is the author of over 300 publications and 13 books, including Top Notch – Born Extraordinary, published by Hoepli. He was the Project Leader for the development of the UNI Reference Practice PdR 131 on accessible tourism.
A certified Lead Auditor for GSTC, DCA ESG, and ISO 19011, he also holds the Senior Hotel General Manager certification from Intertek under the CWA 17327 standard. He has carried out over 3,000 audits and inspections in 5-star hotels and resorts across 25 countries.
He collaborates with hospitality real estate funds, conducting due diligence assessments to evaluate the sustainability of hospitality properties during acquisition or sale processes.
