Filippo Buccarelli

Filippo Buccarelli teaches Sociology of Social and Institutional Formation at the School of Humanities and Education of the University of Florence. A member of *CAMBIO – Research Centre on Social Transformations* and of the Editorial Board of *CAMBIO. Journal of Social Transformations*, published by Firenze University Press, he has been the President of PoieinLab Social Research since 2013, which became a Social Enterprise/ETS in 2023.

His main scientific interests include the logics and various forms of rationality in action, the relationship between individual and society, social change and mechanisms of social deviance, as well as local and territorial development processes across their economic (productive fabrics and labor markets), political (governance and government models, participatory processes), and cultural dimensions (shifts in values and norms, especially among younger generations).

As Scientific Director of PoieinLab Social Research, he has conducted extensive research and published work over the years—commissioned by local authorities, foundations, non-profit, and for-profit businesses—on eco-socially sustainable development and the regeneration of inner areas in the Tosco-Emilian Apennines. Additionally, in collaboration with the agricultural company “Vannucci Piante”, his research focuses on new trends in Italians’ perception and culture of greenery, with particular emphasis on their travel habits and stay experiences across various tourist accommodation facilities.
