Founder & Senior Partner – GAT Hospitality

Emiliano Garayar is a corporate strategist, investor, and lawyer with 35+ years of international experience across corporate law, private equity, real estate, and hospitality.
In hospitality, he is Co-founder and Chairman of GAT Hospitality, Spain’s leading independent hotel management platform, with a track record of +10,000 rooms managed and developed across repositioning, distressed asset turnaround, and operational optimisation for institutional investors and owners.
GAT Hospitality has acted as an operating partner for leading institutional capital, working with investors and platforms such as Blackstone, Bain Capital, Alantra, Farallon Capital, Bank of America, CaixaBank, Santander, Hilton, Marriott, and NH Hotel Group, among others. The firm has participated in +200 projects and 60+ operated assets across Iberia.
Within this ecosystem, Emiliano co-led the Eagle Iberia Hospitality Fund (ALANTRA JV), deploying approximately €100 million in off-market and special situation hotel investments.
He is also Senior Partner at Garayar Abogados, specialised in corporate finance, restructuring and complex transactions, and founder of Q Finance, where he led the restructuring of over €3 billion in real estate and hospitality debt.
He also founded Hotel Servicers, a tech platform focused on ERP/PMS integration and financial automation for hotels.
Emiliano holds a Law Degree from the University of Deusto and an LLM from the College of Europe (Bruges), and is Associate Professor at IE University (Madrid), where he teaches Hospitality Investment.
