Born in 1966 in Bolzano, he graduated with honours in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, after which he did a PhD in architecture with a focus on the Dolomites. He was a spatial planning official for the Autonomous Province of Bozen/Bolzano with a focus on tourism and large production and commercial areas. As a freelancer, he worked for more than 20 years on various topics between Retail and Hospitality, including as project manager of Aldi’s entry into the Italian market together with the Abram & Schnabel studio in Bolzano, dealing with the design development of about fifteen shops. After a period spent in Germany managing, on the Italian company side, a residential and commercial project, he returned to Italy to become Senior Project Manager at Drees & Sommer Italia in 2019. In this capacity, he managed several projects in the retail sector, dealing with adaptations and renovations of shopping centres. Since 2021, he has held the position of Head of Hospitality and Retail at Drees & Sommer. He speaks Italian, English, German and Val Gardena Ladin fluently.
