Paola Orneli Bock is VP Hotel Properties at Aareal Bank AG, one of the leading debt financing providers within the hospitality industry. The bank currently holds a portfolio of ca. €10 billion of hotel financing in more than 25 countries across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Aareal Bank’s hotel team focuses primarily on lending to first-class hotels in prime locations as well as portfolio transactions.

Prior to that, Paola was VP at HVS Bangkok, providing advisory services throughout Asia. Paola started her career at Cushman & Wakefield’s London Office covering several markets across EMEA and later she went on to head up their China hospitality division. With more than 15 years in the hospitality sector, Paola has provided advice in 25 territories across the world. Her experience includes financing hospitality assets, evaluating new hotel and resort opportunities, management agreement negotiations, transaction advice, strategic and branding analysis and highest and best use assessments. She is a graduate from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management.
