With a career that spans forty years, Larry Mogelonsky has accumulated a wealth of experiences. In the hotel industry, he has worked with over 200 properties, primarily in the North American luxury hotel segment, including Four Seasons Hotels, Virgin Hotels, and many Forbes 5-Star properties.
His work has been recognized with over numerous awards: TravelClick named him Worldwide e-Marketer of the Year. Larry was also recognized by HSMAI as one of the Top 25 Minds in Hospitality, and by the International Hospitality Institute as one of the 30 Most Influential Educators in Hospitality.
Selling his communications agency several years ago, Larry together with his son Adam, formed Hotel Mogel Consulting, a hospitality consultancy that provides independent luxury hotel owners and operators with solutions to complex issues.
It was a natural progression to reflect upon this extensive experience through the written and spoken word. Together, they are the world’s most published authors in the hospitality industry, with seven books (two being translated into Italian) and over 1,500 articles online and in print. It is estimated that each month some 175,000 hoteliers read one or more of their articles.
Larry lives in Toronto, Canada. He holds an MBA from McMaster University and an Honours Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Concordia University.
