Full Professor – Università di Siena
Angelo Riccaboni has been Full Professor of Business Economics since 1999 at the University of Siena, of which he was Rector from 2010 to 2016.
He holds the teaching of Advanced Management Control and Sustainable Development of the Master’s Degree Course in Management and Governance (Department of Business and Legal Studies – University of Siena).
His teaching and research activity is focused on the role of corporate governance and control in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and on the contribution of organizations and universities in promoting sustainable innovations.
He is Co-Chair of SDSN EUROPE, the European Network of UN SDSN – Sustainable Development Solutions Network (an initiative promoted by the United Nations for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and led by Jeffrey Sachs), of which he is a member of the Leadership Council.
He chairs the Fundación PRIMA, based in Barcelona, in charge of implementing PRIMA, the Euro-Mediterranean initiative of innovation and research on the themes of sustainable food systems, co-financed by the European Commission and 19 countries.
President of the Steering Committee of the Santa Chiara Lab (Innovation Center of the University of Siena) and Co-Chair of the DNF Observatory, organized in collaboration with the CSR Manager Network.
Coordinator of the SDG2 Working Group of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development-ASVIS, Member of the scientific committees of the Institute for Sustainable Development Goals of Tsinghua University, of CSR Manager Network Italia and of the World Farmers Organization, and member of the Board of Directors of Bicocca University of Milan.
He was President of the CRUI Foundation (Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities), Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Siena and President of the Association of Deans of the Italian Faculties of Economics, Management and Statistics.
He chairs the Sclavo Foundation and was a member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of the Bank of Italy and of the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.
