Fosun invests in tourism in Italy
Pietro Clemente, Executive Director and Asset Management for Italy of Fosun, chinese investment holding company, has announced projects of around 500 million in the Piazza Cordusio area in Milan, among the next moves of the Fosun Group. A key role will be played by the subsidiary Club Med, a historic French icon of holiday villages, which last year reopened the Cefalù resort, and launched an important project at the Venice Lido. Fosun is also in the running to take over control of Thomas Cook, one of the world's leading tour operators. Clemente affirms «Italy is at the top of our focus. We are gearing up to invest directly. Center of the strategy will be the French company Paref, Sic listed on the Paris stock exchange. We have already examined numerous tourism investment projects, at least fifty real estate development projects ".
